Due to adverse weather conditions and high winds, hot air balloon tours in Cappadocia were suspended, causing a hiatus lasting four days. However, today marked the resumption of flights.

The rarity of favorable conditions has led to only 17 days of flight out of the 46 days since the year began, captivating both passengers and onlookers alike.

These tours of hot air balloons, popular among local and foreign tourists eager to admire the fairy chimneys, natural rock formations, and picturesque valleys from above, were interrupted for four days due to the unfavorable weather.

In this region, where approximately 250 days a year are suitable for flights, winter conditions such as wind, fog, and precipitation often impede operations.

Flights are subject to approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), under the purview of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, contingent upon favorable weather conditions.
